The working principle is straightforward: a pressure-sensitive diaphragm at the probe tip measures the weight of the liquid column above it, then converts that into an output signal proportional to the level. Most of our sensors use either a ceramic or a diffusion silicon sensing element, housed in 316L stainless steel for corrosion resistance. Temperature compensation is built into the electronics to keep the readings stable across seasonal shifts. We don’t publish a single spec sheet because every project has its own demands—some need a 4-20 mA output for a legacy SCADA system, others want RS485 with Modbus protocol. Our standard cable lengths go from 10 meters up to 200 meters, but we’ve shipped custom lengths beyond that for deep groundwater applications. Drift is often caused by temperature fluctuations or diaphragm fatigue. Our sensors include temperature compensation and long-term aging compensation in the signal conditioning. For critical installations, we recommend an annual calibration check. Kingmach can supply a portable calibration kit or perform the recalibration at our service center if you return the sensor.
Most common are 4-20 mA two-wire and RS485 digital output with Modbus RTU. We can also provide voltage outputs like 0-5 V or 0-10 V, and other fieldbus options like HART on request. Just specify your data acquisition setup when you order.
